The Teflon (PTFE) adhesive tape is specifically manufactured for one purpose: protecting the heat sealing bars and elements of plastic bag sealing machinery. It is a precision industrial tape: a woven fiberglass cloth base, thoroughly impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), with a high-temperature silicone adhesive backing. It is applied directly onto the heating bar or sealing element of impulse sealers, continuous band sealers, L-bar sealers, and form-fill-seal machines.
When a heat-sealing machine closes a plastic bag, the heating element reaches temperatures of 150°C–260°C in milliseconds. Without a PTFE tape cover on the sealing bar, the melted plastic from the bag film sticks to the bar, causing uneven seals, machine downtime, and contamination.
The PTFE tape acts as a non-stick, heat-resistant barrier between the hot element and the film — allowing a clean, consistent seal every time, with easy film release after each cycle.
Over time, the tape wears and must be replaced. Our tape is supplied in standard and custom widths to match the sealing bar dimensions of the buyer's specific machinery, ensuring perfect compatibility and minimum downtime.
